In Ramadan 2023, the Richmond Islamic Community Ottawa (RICO) marked a milestone by offering Taraweeh prayers for the first time at their local community centre. As a young and growing Muslim community in Richmond Village, RICO’s inauguration of nightly Taraweeh created a powerful space for spiritual connection, collective worship, and unity during the holy month. This new tradition helped deepen the bond among community members, offering a shared rhythm of prayer, reflection, and faith under the guidance of RICO’s founding vision.
